Level 1 sweep and inspection to the NFPA 211 annual standard - flue, crown, cap, and flashing checked and photographed
Chimney sweep logs do not sweep chimneys. They loosen some creosote - which then falls where a brush and vacuum still have to collect it.
The Level Two Chimney Cambridge Guarantee
We stand behind every chimney we touch in Cambridge. Since 2009, we’ve inspected and cleaned more than 38,000 chimneys, and every single job started with a written price and ended with a documented photo record. That’s not a marketing line. It’s Clause 1 and Clause 4 of the Haven Standard, and we don’t skip clauses.
Our 365-Day Done Right Promise means exactly what it says. If something isn’t right, we make it right. No argument, no runaround, no “that’s not covered.” Corrine Halstead, Owner of Level Two Chimney Cambridge, put her name on this standard because a guarantee without a person behind it is just a paragraph on a website.
We work in Cambridge’s actual conditions: freeze-thaw cycles that crack crowns, salt air off the Charles that accelerates spalling, century-old masonry with original flue liners that weren’t built for modern appliance loads. Our guarantee accounts for this place. We don’t write warranties for Phoenix and hope they hold in Porter Square.
What’s Covered
- Workmanship on every repair and installation. If a chimney cap we install leaks, a liner joint separates, or a crown repair fails within the coverage period, we return and fix it at our expense. We source materials from DuraFlex, HeatShield, Gelco, Olympia Chimney, Famco, and Copperfield through Haven’s buying network, and we know how each performs in New England weather.
- Parts and materials integrity. We don’t substitute cheaper components after you’ve approved a scope. What we quote is what we install. If a factory defect surfaces in a part we supplied, we handle the replacement and the labor to install it.
- Job-site cleanliness. Chimney work makes soot. We contain it. Our crews lay protective covering, run HEPA-filtered vacuums, and inspect the work area before we leave. If we tracked something in, we track it out. Clause 4’s photo record includes the “after” shot of your living room, not just your flue.
- On-time arrival with real communication. You’ll get a named technician assigned to your job, a text when they’re en route, and a license number you can verify. Background-checked, uniformed crews. No mystery subcontractors, no “someone will be there between 8 and 5.”
- Honest pricing with zero bait-and-switch. Written price before any work starts, written scope, written warranty. Haven Standard Clause 1. Not after the tech is in your home. Not “we found something else.” The price you approve is the price you pay.
Our Satisfaction Promise

If you’re not satisfied, we need to know. Call us at (857) 309-1908. A live person answers, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Describe what happened. We’ll review your photo record, your written scope, and your technician’s notes. Corrine Halstead personally reviews disputed jobs.
Most issues resolve in one return visit. A smoke chamber that still draws poorly after parging. A damper that doesn’t seat cleanly after adjustment. We schedule the callback, we cover the labor, and we photograph the fix for your record. If we missed something, we own it.
In rare cases where we disagree about whether work meets standard, we offer our Free Second Opinion protocol. Bring us a competitor’s written estimate claiming we did something wrong. We’ll inspect, photograph, and explain what we see. If they identified a real problem we missed, we’ll fix it under our promise. If they’re selling you work you don’t need, we’ll show you the camera footage and tell you why.
The 365-Day Done Right Promise has no loopholes about “normal wear” or “improper use.” We’re chimney professionals. We know how chimneys wear, and we account for it in our scope. If we didn’t, that’s on us.
Before
AfterLicensed & Insured Backing
A guarantee is only as solid as the business behind it. Level Two Chimney Cambridge is licensed and insured, with coverage that protects your property and our crews while we’re on your roof or in your flue. We display our license information on every page because a credential you can’t verify isn’t a credential.
Insurance matters in chimney work. We’re on ladders, on steep pitches, handling heavy liners and masonry. If something goes wrong, you don’t want a contractor who “knows a guy” with a policy. You want a business with real coverage and a real track record. We’ve completed over 38,000 jobs since 2009 without leaving homeowners exposed.
Licensing means we’ve met Massachusetts requirements for chimney contractors, including the technical knowledge to perform NFPA 211 Level 2 inspections. Insurance means if a tool drops through a skylight or a liner scratches your hearth, there’s a real claims process, not a handshake and a promise to “make it right someday.”
The Haven Standard was built from what we learned across those 38,000 jobs. Clause 1: have it in writing. Clause 4: document everything. The 365-Day Done Right Promise: stand behind it. Corrine Halstead put her name on this because in Cambridge, your chimney professional should be someone you can find, call, and hold accountable. We’re here. (857) 309-1908. A live person, any time.
